Our Legal Team

Andy Horsman has been director/senior solicitor of Horsman Loader for over ten years. He oversees the overall running of the practise and is well known for his work as a specialist criminal lawyer. He qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has built up the practise and now solely practises criminal law, while supervising a highly skilled and dedicated team of lawyers to represent our client's best interests.

Philip Wakeham qualified as a Barrister in 1978 at Middle Temple, London. Phil has extensive experience in defending a wide range of serious allegations over the years, including murder, fraud, large-scale drug importation and sexual offences. He is widely regarded in his profession as one of the most senior and respected barrister’s in the South East of England.
Horsman Loader regard Phil’s appointment, after some 32 years practising as a Barrister in London Chambers, as a great asset to the Firm, so as to further enhance our reputation of defending client’s rights in criminal proceedings.

Philip Wakeham - Barrister

Siobhan Lawson was admitted as a solicitor in 2000 specialising solely in criminal defence work. Siobhan is further qualified with Higher Rights of Audience, defending clients in the Crown Court. Siobhan has represented clients accused of large scale drugs importation, serious violent and sexual offences, firearms allegations and the entire range of criminal allegations before the Magistrates Court.

Alison Reeby is a solicitor who completed her criminal qualifications in 1995. She has extensive experience within the field of criminal law from the Police Stations to the Crown Court. She represents clients on a daily basis across the whole range of criminal matters within the Magistrates and Youth Court.

Hollie Collinge is a solicitor who joined the team in 2008. She is a specialist in all areas of criminal law, representing clients charged with any criminal allegations, appearing daily at the Magistrates and Youth Courts. Hollie in 2010, further qualified with Higher Rights of Audience, so as to defend clients in the Crown Court.

Josie Sonnessa qualified in 2006 and has specialised in Criminal Law and in 2010 Josie further qualified as a Crown Court Advocate. Josie represents clients on a daily basis dealing with the entire range of criminal allegations, specialising in trial advocacy both within the Youth and Magistrates Court .

Leanna Stobbart joined the Firm in 2010, after successfully passing her Legal Practise Course from the College of Law with Distinction. Leanna, specialising in criminal law, is currently undergoing her Solicitor’s Article’s with Horsman Loader.

All of the above solicitors are also qualified as Duty Solicitors, attending on the Brighton and Lewes Magistrates Court Panel, as well as the Brighton Police Station Rota.

Lesley Hutchison is a Qualified Paralegal, managing the Crown Court Department. She has a vast amount of experience in preparing complex cases from drugs importations to murder cases. Lesley is Police Station Accredited and has over 15 years experience in advising on all criminal matters.

Raye Fielding is the manager of the Police Station department and has been qualified for over 8 years. Raye is vastly experienced in protecting the rights and interests of our firms clients whilst in detention at Police Stations
